Our New ROV is Getting Ready for Its First Mission with Gigablue

Astral Subsea has recently completed the development and construction of a dedicated ROV system for the Israeli company Gigablue, as part of a joint project aimed at strengthening deep-sea monitoring capabilities.

The new system was designed and built by Astral Subsea’s engineering team, tailored to the specific requirements of a challenging operational environment and supporting advanced data collection systems. In the coming weeks, the system is expected to be shipped to New Zealand, where it will begin its first mission as part of Gigablue’s work in monitoring deep-sea environmental processes.

Gigablue develops innovative technologies for carbon capture in marine systems and integrates advanced engineering tools for precise scientific monitoring. The current project represents a direct continuation of the collaboration between the two companies, combining Astral Subsea’s long-standing experience in designing and building subsea systems with Gigablue’s environmental solutions.
